Pandemic opens new doors for Cadets to serve

A report on the activities of NCC in WCC

Though the Covid-19 pandemic has debarred a lot of activities and shifted focus to online mode, WCC NCC COMPANY finds new ways to serve society during this academic year by spreading knowledge on environmental and social concerns through online platforms.

NCC cadets are generally busy attending training sessions and camps during the academic year. But from March 2020, this has become difficult because of the pandemic and lockdown. Still the cadets have had no time to waste. They now serve the community by conducting webinars and other online events on important topics. They share knowledge with people around them and thus contribute to the betterment of society and environment. Eco-friendliness, mental and physical health, organ and blood donation are the areas the cadets have chosen to educate people on.

Wealth created out of waste by participants of the competition

Webinars were conducted on the following topics as well: Threats of single-use plastics, Myths of Nutrition, Benefits of Yoga and Seeking Help is Not a Sign of Weakness. State level and National level painting competitions were conducted in recognition of Organ Donation Day and Doctors’ Day respectively. A National level Poetry Competition was conducted in recognition of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Another National level Wealth Out of Waste Competition was conducted to promote reuse. Many other competitions were also conducted by the club this year.
