ROCKIN' IN THEIR ATTIRE

Over the decades, Women's Christian College has preserved various traditions that are still followed and handed down by students to their juniors, and this includes the various ‘Campus Days’ on campus. This year the students celebrated Black and White Day, Retro Day, Headgear Day , Floral Day, Christmas Day and Saree Day.

During Campus Days, students are given a particular theme and are expected to dress up accordingly. They also take pictures of their attire and submit these as individual or department entries to the Senate. These entries are marked according to their creativity in representing the theme and the number of people who participate. These points are added to Battlefest celebrations to determine the best department of all. "This year we might give a special award for the highest ranked department in Campus Days," says Anne Aparna, Chairperson for Cultural Activities.

When asked about her favourite submission, Aparna says that the Retro Day submission from the English department is her personal pick. "I was really excited about Retro Day and the English department's submission made me even happier with their creativity," she says.

Campus Days require coordination, involvement and innovation. It brings fun, unity and togetherness among students who actively participate in these events. When students come together, such celebrations become a huge success and create beautiful memories as well.
